My research
I develop and apply quantitative economic models to evaluate how policies at the trade-and-climate nexus interact with geopolitical fragmentation. In the past years, I focused on the role of international trade to dilute responsibilities for Greenhouse Gas emissions, the potential impact of the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism to accelerate decarbonization in Europe and abroad, as well as the distributional challenges it creates, between and within countries.
My work ranges from the development of state-of-the-art techniques to model global supply chains with Multi-Regional Input-Output tables and Quantitative Trade Models to applied policy analysis. I have published research articles in leading environmental economics, general-interest and specialized peer-reviewed journals.
You will find here my published work, information on my ongoing research, my teaching and supervision record and past and forthcoming talks.
